The Opportunity

The Compliance Manager at CareCo owns the regulatory homecare landscape: figuring out what each state requires, tracking changes as they happen, and turning that into clear direction for our offices.

You'll build and run the programs expected by auditors and surveyors. You'll audit our offices on a regular cycle and address variances. And when a state survey happens, you're our lead. You prep the office, work alongside the surveyor, and manage the plan of correction to closure.

What you'll own

  • Research and document home care regulations for every state we're in or entering, and keep a current reference offices can use

  • Track regulatory changes across all markets and turn them into real policy, training, and process updates

  • CareCo's QAPI program: measures, data, improvement projects, documentation

  • Emergency Preparedness Program: plan, risk assessment, staff training, annual testing

  • Recurring office audits covering client files, caregiver files, supervisory visits, training records, and incident reporting, with clear corrective actions and deadlines

  • State survey prep, on-site support, and plans of correction through to closure

  • HIPAA compliance and the incident reporting process

  • Payer and VA contract requirements, from documentation to caregiver qualifications

  • Licenses, renewals, and required filings so nothing lapses

What we're looking for

  • High integrity. Families trust us with the people they love most, and disciplined compliance is how we prove that trust is well placed.

  • 2+ years in compliance, regulatory, quality, audit, or licensing preferred. Healthcare, home care, or another regulated industry is a plus, and we'll consider strong adjacent backgrounds

  • A strong writer. Policies, audit findings, and plans of correction precise enough for a regulator and clear enough for an office to follow

  • Detail-oriented. Notices missing documentation and expired credentials without being told to look

  • Organized and self-directed. Can track a lot of requirements and deadlines across multiple states without someone structuring it for you

  • Comfortable in software and spreadsheets, and willing to build working proficiency with AI tools

  • Bachelor's degree required
