Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Schertz, TX, for an Assistant Manager Human Resources. The individual will oversee and manage HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws. Responsibilities also include supporting performance management, facilitating training and development programs, and identifying opportunities to improve workplace culture and employee engagement. The Assistant Manager Human Resources will collaborate across departments, ensure alignment with business goals, and assist in implementing HR policies.

Qualifications

  • Proven skills in Recruitment, Onboarding, and Talent Acquisition processes
  • Experience in Employee Relations, Performance Management, and Conflict Resolution
  • Knowledge in HR Policies, Compliance, and Employment Law
  • Proficiency in HR Software (Paycom), HR Information Systems (HRIS), and Payroll Systems
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop and conduct Training and Development programs, including safety programs
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • HR Certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus
  • Prior HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments, is highly desirable, with additional consideration given to candidates with exposure to structural steel fabrication operations, workplace safety programs and candidates who are bilingual
