Production Assistant (Part-Time)

**Overview:**

The Production Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting television production duties for live and recorded broadcasts. This part-time position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced broadcast environment. **Responsibilities:**

• Compose and frame camera shots, applying technical aspects of light, lenses, and camera settings to achieve desired effects
• Adjust positions and controls of cameras to change focus, exposure, and lighting as requested by the director
• Operate studio cameras during live broadcasts
• Operate remote cameras during live broadcasts
• Confer with directors and other crew members to discuss sequences, desired effects, camera movements, and lighting requirements
• Set up cameras and related equipment
• Test, clean, maintain, and repair camera equipment
• Produce graphics for newscasts
• Perform other duties as assigned
• *Qualifications:**
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines, and other office equipment
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Part-time schedule with approximately 29 hours per week, including weekends and holidays
• Reliable transportation
