Summary
Serve as the strategic partner and advisor to assigned National, Commercial, and Industrial Oncor customer accounts. Meaningfully engage with, learn, and stay informed about the business drivers of assigned accounts, and proactively advise on impacts related to serving new load and energy usage affected by the strategic plans of assigned customer accounts. Be sought out by key leadership within assigned accounts for guidance on potential impacts to energy usage based on the Company’s potential or actual plans. Demonstrate the ability to proactively drive actions with minimal supervision. Exhibit digital leadership skills that embrace disruption, think holistically, inspire others, and remain culturally connected.
This role may report out of the Downtown Dallas Office, Downtown Fort Worth Office, or Waco Office. You will be required to work on-site 5 days per week. Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and update an Account Plan for each assigned account, including periodic objectives, targets, and accountabilities for interactions with each account.
- Proactively engage with assigned accounts as a strategic partner, developing relationships at the appropriate level to make meaningful impact.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships throughout business communities to ensure all issues (Customers, Communities, Oncor, etc.) are addressed within a balanced operating environment and support a broader level of customer service.
- Conduct proactive, ongoing dialogue with assigned Commercial, Industrial, and National Account customers regarding significant business strategies, plans, and activities, including construction, relocation, expansion, maintenance activities, planned outages, and vegetation management.
- Proactively communicate with assigned Commercial, Industrial, and National Account customers during system events and coordinate with internal partners to address critical public safety issues.
- Develop and maintain effective internal relationships and communicate proactively to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and support Oncor business objectives.
- Proactively provide Commercial and Industrial operational intelligence to internal partners to help represent and resolve concerns from assigned customers.
- Prioritize and manage involvement in selected trade organizations to support Oncor business objectives while maintaining strong community partnerships.
- Enthusiastically and knowledgeably convey Oncor brand messages and strengthen Oncor brand awareness.
- Enthusiastically and knowledgeably educate internal and external stakeholders about Oncor product features and their associated benefits.
- Utilize key relationships with community business leaders to advocate important Company positions and initiatives, as directed by Governmental and External Affairs.
- Provide after hours and weekend accessibility for Key Accounts.
- Stay current on Company and industry news, initiatives, and emerging events to serve as an effective advocate for Oncor and trusted advisor to assigned accounts.
- Perform all essential functions and responsibilities of the job, including additional tasks as required.
Skills
- Experienced and skilled in working with highly technical Commercial customers and Local/State Regulatory and Governing bodies.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Regulatory, Measurement, Transmission, and Distribution objectives.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and proactively manage a portfolio of complex issues and initiatives.
- Ability to establish and maintain highly effective relationships with assigned business accounts, associated groups, and key individuals.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex subject matter to a variety of audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with and advise customers.
- Ability to understand and clearly articulate business drivers across multiple industries.
- Ability to proactively manage customer relationships in an advisory capacity.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Account Manager: 3 or more years of account management, supervisory, customer service, or operations experience required.
- Senior Account Manager: 5 or more years of account management, supervisory, customer service, or operations experience required.
- Applicants with experience in the electric utility industry are encouraged to apply.
