Woodway Rehab & Healthcare Center is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and motivated Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to lead our in-house rehabilitation team. This is an exciting opportunity for a licensed PTA, OT, or COTA who is passionate about clinical excellence, team leadership, and delivering exceptional resident outcomes in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.
Position Summary
The Director of Rehabilitation is responsible for the overall management of the rehabilitation department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality physical, occupational, and speech therapy services. The DOR provides leadership to the therapy team while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, overseeing clinical programming, and promoting outstanding patient care.
Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee daily operations of the rehabilitation department.
- Supervise and support Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and therapy assistants.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, state, and federal regulations.
- Monitor productivity, staffing, scheduling, and departmental performance.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing, administration, residents, and families to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and quality assurance standards.
- Mentor and develop therapy staff through coaching and ongoing education.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning.
- Foster a positive, resident-centered culture focused on exceptional outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current Texas license as a PTA, OT, or COTA is required.
- Previous rehabilitation management or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Medicare Part A and Part B, PDPM, and skilled nursing regulations.
- Ability to motivate teams while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence.
