About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Project Controls professional to support a major construction program involving multiple facilities and concurrent workstreams. This individual will serve as the central point for project planning, performance measurement, forecasting, and reporting, providing leadership teams with the information needed to make informed project decisions.

The successful candidate will combine schedule management, cost control, resource planning, and analytical reporting to help drive successful project execution from construction through commissioning and turnover.

What You'll Be Doing

Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Build, maintain, and optimize integrated project schedules covering all phases of execution.
  • Coordinate activities across engineering, procurement, construction, inspections, startup, and project handover.
  • Establish short-term and long-term planning strategies, including look-ahead schedules and recovery plans.
  • Monitor schedule performance and identify impacts to completion milestones.

Cost & Performance Management

  • Track project budgets, commitments, expenditures, forecasting, and cash flow.
  • Maintain project controls systems used for cost tracking, change management, and performance reporting.
  • Review forecast trends and provide analysis supporting management decision-making.
  • Monitor contingency utilization and cost variance against approved budgets.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop executive-level reports, dashboards, progress curves, workforce metrics, and performance indicators.
  • Consolidate project data and transform it into meaningful status updates for stakeholders.
  • Provide regular reporting on schedule health, productivity, risk exposure, and forecast outcomes.
  • Support project reviews through clear and accurate performance analysis.

Risk, Change & Recovery Analysis

  • Evaluate schedule risks, delays, constraints, and emerging trends.
  • Conduct critical path evaluations and develop recovery recommendations when needed.
  • Support schedule impact assessments and documentation associated with change events.
  • Facilitate project risk reviews and ensure mitigation actions are tracked to closure.

Project Controls Governance

  • Establish project reporting standards, coding structures, calendars, and data management practices.
  • Ensure consistency and integrity of project controls data across all reporting platforms.
  • Maintain version control and governance processes for project controls deliverables.
  • Work closely with field teams to validate progress against installed quantities, labor performance, procurement status, and approved scope changes.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum eight years of experience supporting large-scale construction, industrial, infrastructure, or energy projects.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating project scheduling and cost controls.
  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong background in forecasting, resource planning, earned value techniques, performance measurement, and change management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification such as PMP, PMI-SP, PSP, CCP, or equivalent.
  • Experience utilizing Power BI, Procore, or similar project management platforms.
  • Exposure to complex programs where schedule, cost, risk, and performance metrics are heavily integrated.

Work Environment

This position supports a large construction program located in Hubbard, Texas. Regular coordination with active construction operations will be required. Project demands may occasionally necessitate extended workdays, early morning meetings, weekend support, or schedule recovery efforts based on project priorities.

All personnel must comply with applicable site safety, training, security, and PPE requirements.
