Job Description
We are searching for a part-time social media intern who reports to our office in Waco. This role offers hands-on experience in content strategy, short-form video production, campaign analytics, content auditing and community engagement. As part of a small, close-knit team you will grow through real-world experience while bolstering Waco’s leading lifestyle brand.
The ideal candidate is passionate about storytelling, interested in creating engaging digital content and excited to present our editorial content to our online audience, bringing genuine enthusiasm for our community and executing several campaigns each month to engage our thousands of followers. This role supports our Social Media Manager and will be responsible for coordinating content shoots, filming and editing short-form video, writing captions, publishing across platforms and monitoring audience engagement. Each month, you will execute campaigns that connect thousands of community members — helping you build a professional portfolio while honing skills in brand marketing, digital publishing and content creation.
Qualifications
- Ability to independently travel across Waco for content shoots, interviews and community events.
- 2+ years of higher education completed in pursuit of a degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
- Proven experience creating, filming, editing and publishing content for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
- A strong understanding of platform-specific best practices, trends and audience engagement strategies.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suites or Canva, CapCut or comparable photo and video editing softwares.
- Self-motivated and highly organized work ethic with the ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
