Position Overview

Wheeler Staffing Partners is excited to invite an experienced Director of Human Resources to oversee HR operations at a distinguished healthcare facility in Waco, Texas. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing our core HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, payroll processing, compliance, training, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Leadership

  • Oversee daily HR operations and the employee lifecycle.
  • Effectively communicate HR policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to staff and management.
  • Develop initiatives for employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture.
  • Be a trusted resource for employee relations matters and performance concerns.
  • Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all HR matters.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, from job postings to hiring processes.
  • Conduct thorough reference checks and background screenings.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to align workforce planning and staffing objectives.
  • Facilitate a smooth onboarding process to ensure a positive new hire experience.

Training & Employee Development

  • Coordinate and conduct employee orientation programs.
  • Oversee annual training requirements and competency assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with certifications, licenses, and mandatory training.
  • Assist leadership in performance management and employee coaching activities.

Payroll Administration

  • Ensure accuracy in employee time and attendance records.
  • Process payroll and any related adjustments.
  • Audit payroll data to guarantee compliance.
  • Create payroll reports for leadership review.
  • Ensure timely and precise payroll processing and recordkeeping.

Benefits Administration

  • Act as the primary liaison for employee benefits programs.
  • Manage benefits enrollment and assist with employee education regarding programs.
  • Maintain precise records associated with various benefit offerings.
  • Address employee inquiries regarding benefits and help resolve any issues.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Maintain personnel files according to applicable regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance standards within the healthcare sector.
  • Coordinate workers' compensation reporting and incident documentation.
  • Support accreditation readiness and compliance initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years in Human Resources is required.
  • At least 2 years of employee relations experience preferred.
  • At least 2 years of payroll processing experience preferred.
  • Healthcare industry experience is essential.
  • Proven experience in compliance, onboarding, recruitment, and benefits administration.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment law.
  • Experience with payroll administration and timekeeping systems.
  • Excellent conflict resolution and employee relations skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage deadlines in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with teams.

Additional Requirements
