First National Bank Texas

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Loan Originator to join our team! In this key role, you will:

  • Originate high-quality loans that comply with FCMC guidelines.
  • Build strong business relationships with local real estate agents and builders to enhance market presence.
  • Manage the territory of First National Bank Texas and First Convenience banks, including training employees on mortgage loan basics.
  • Develop connections with partner store management teams at local banks.
  • Take customer loan applications and assist with pulling credit reports.
  • Conduct engaging presentations, including First Time Home Buyer seminars and product training sessions.
  • Maintain clear communication with borrowers and real estate agents throughout the loan process.
  • Issue and explain pre-qualification letters, disclosures, and all other compliance documentation for borrowers, including Good Faith Estimates and Truth-In-Lending documents.
  • Possibly act as a general office manager depending on location and business needs, handling general correspondence, supply maintenance, and overseeing clerical staff schedules.
  • Serve as a liaison between location managers and corporate management regarding office incidents and client concerns.
  • Travel as needed to meet business requirements.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain in a sitting and/or standing position for extended periods.
  • Competency in operating a computer and other office machinery.
  • Able to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
