The Truss Manufacturing Plant Director plays a vital role in developing the vision, strategy, and leadership necessary to drive the plant's success. Requirements for Consideration
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Construction Management, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
- 5+ years of management experience within a truss manufacturing or construction-related environment.
- Deep understanding of the production processes and the consumer application of trusses.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing methods and continuous improvement practices.
- Familiarity with scheduling and shipping methodologies.
- Exceptional judgment skills in problem analysis, troubleshooting, and evaluation.
- Outstanding written and oral communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Key Responsibilities
- Management
- Oversee all plant operations to uphold high standards of quality, safety, and service.
- Develop and manage the plant's budget, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
- Establish the long-term and short-term strategic direction for the plant.
- Staff Development
- Identify and implement employee training and development programs.
- Monitor performance and provide constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement.
- Production & Scheduling
- Ensure that production schedules are adhered to and delivery timelines are optimized.
- Collaborate with Plant Supervisors, Office Coordinators, Customer Service Representatives, Designers, and Dispatchers to drive process improvements.
- Monitor production costs and strive to maintain efficiency.
- Inventory Control
- Ensure that inventory management practices are accurate and compliant with policies.
- Delegate and oversee all aspects of inventory control systematically.
- Safety
- Facilitate best practices to maintain safety standards throughout the production process.
- Ensure that all machinery and equipment are used and maintained properly.
