Senior Full Stack Software Engineer - Cloud Operations

At Capital One, we are looking for a talented Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Cloud Operations Resilience Engineering (CORE) Technology division. In this dynamic team, you'll tackle complex challenges and drive transformation within the organization, making a real impact on our customers' financial empowerment.

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you'll collaborate in an agile, fast-paced environment to:

• Design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across full-stack development tools and technologies.
• Stay abreast of tech trends, explore new technologies, engage in technology communities, and mentor fellow engineers.
• Work closely with digital product managers to deliver resilient cloud-based solutions that enhance user experiences.

Key technologies and skills you'll be working with include:

• Programming languages: JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go.
• Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
• Container orchestration services such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• A variety of AWS tools and services.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• At least 3 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply).

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go.
• 1+ years of experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, etc.).
• 3+ years of experience in utilizing open source frameworks.
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.

The salary range for this role is: McLean, VA: $158,600 - $181,000; Plano, TX: $144,200 - $164,600; Richmond, VA: $144,200 - $164,600. This role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation.
