The Retail Management Trainee function functions as an initial, transient position tailored to prepare an employee for an advanced supervisory role like Retail Management Trainee. The incumbent in this role is required to carry out designated tasks to gear up for forthcoming supervisory duties, undergo fundamental training in operations and management skills, and familiarize themselves with crucial components of the business, such as fostering customer loyalty through exceptional service and embracing the CVS/pharmacy culture. Upon the successful completion of the training regime, Retail Management Trainee become eligible for potential elevation to vacant Retail Management Trainee roles. These pivotal leadership positions play a vital part in supporting the CVS Store Management team in advancing store execution and performance while cultivating customer loyalty to CVS/pharmacy through a dedication to first rate customer service. In the absence of a manager on site, the Retail Management Trainee takes on the responsibility of overseeing the store staff, ensuring seamless store operations, and supervising the completion of all opening and closing procedures.

Responsibilities for Retail Management Trainee

• Work effectively with store management and store crews
• Supervise the store’s crew through assigning, directing and following up of all activities
• Effectively communicate information both to and from store management and crews
• Handle all customer relations issues in accordance with company policy and promote a positive shopping experience for all CVS customers
