Accounting Manager

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Waco, Texas. This is a long-term contract position designed for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will oversee various accounting functions, provide strategic financial insights, and play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of project finances.Responsibilities:• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, and month-end/year-end closing processes.• Develop, implement, and enforce accounting policies and procedures aligned with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).• Review and analyze project financial statements to ensure all transactions are accurate and transparent.• Manage and reconcile Work-in-Progress schedules, including profitability analysis, revenue recognition, and job costing.• Prepare budgets and forecasts for projects, monitor variances, and provide actionable insights to management.• Collaborate with project managers and leadership teams to align financial objectives and communicate project status effectively.• Supervise and mentor accounting staff to support detail-oriented development and ensure continuous improvement.• Assist with audits, tax filings, and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.• Strengthen and enhance internal controls across all accounting processes to ensure operational efficiency.
