Your Role: You will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, cleanliness, and hospitality, while aligning with Torchy's mission. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and enjoy fostering team development, we want you on our team!

Key Responsibilities

  • Kitchen Operations: Oversee BOH functions, ensuring efficient food preparation, inventory management, and equipment maintenance while upholding a pristine kitchen environment.
  • Food Quality: Guarantee all menu items are prepared with precision and passion, adhering to our commitment to scratch-made food.
  • Guest Experience: Lead efforts to exceed guest expectations and deliver memorable experiences that keep them coming back for more.
  • Local Marketing: Assist in executing community outreach initiatives that enhance guest engagement and drive traffic to our restaurant.
  • Team Management: Recruit, train, and schedule staff to maintain optimal operations in both BOH and Front of House (FOH).
  • People Development: Mentor and support team members, cultivating a culture of accountability and growth to identify future leaders.
  • Financial Responsibility: Monitor food costs and labor while ensuring operational efficiency through strategic planning and inventory oversight.
  • Recipe Adherence: Enforce strict adherence to recipes and portioning standards for consistency and quality control.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and regulatory policies, fostering an accountable workplace.
  • Shift Leadership: Drive excellence during shifts, focusing on food quality, speed, hospitality, and safety.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze guest feedback and operational assessments, implementing action plans for enhancements.
  • Training & Development: Collaborate with staff to ensure they receive effective training and coaching for ongoing skill enhancement.
  • Flexibility: Be ready to take on additional tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of management experience in fast-paced restaurant settings, with a strong understanding of both kitchen and guest-facing operations.
  • A proven track record of leading and nurturing diverse teams while upholding high hospitality standards.
  • Thorough knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in restaurant management.
  • Must possess state alcohol-server and Manager ServSafe certifications.
  • Experience in managing budgets, schedules, and inventory effectively.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and maintain mobility throughout shifts.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
