Area Manager
Total Wireless Authorized Dealer

Position Overview
The Area Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple Total Wireless retail locations, driving sales performance, ensuring operational excellence, and developing high-performing store teams. This is a traveling role that requires frequent visits to assigned locations to coach, audit, and support managers and sales teams.
This role is hands-on, performance-driven, and ideal for a leader who thrives in fast-paced retail environments and knows how to turn underperforming locations into top producers.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Performance
- Drive sales growth across all assigned locations
- Ensure stores consistently meet or exceed KPIs (activations, accessories, add-ons, internet, tablets, upgrades, etc.)
- Analyze sales reports, identify gaps, and execute action plans
- Lead sales contests, incentives, and performance calls
Leadership & Coaching
- Hire, train, and develop Store Managers and Assistant Managers
- Conduct regular store visits, ride-alongs, and on-site coaching
- Hold managers accountable to standards, schedules, and results
- Identify top performers and support underperforming team members
Operations & Compliance
- Ensure stores follow Total Wireless policies, procedures, and brand standards
- Audit inventory, cash handling, merchandising, and cleanliness
- Ensure schedules align with traffic, budget, and performance goals
- Address operational issues quickly and professionally
Marketing & Community Presence
- Support in-store and off-site marketing events
- Ensure teams are active with local marketing, reviews, and social media visibility
- Drive brand awareness within assigned markets
Travel & Reporting
- Travel regularly between locations (percentage based on territory)
- Submit weekly performance summaries and action plans
- Communicate consistently with ownership and leadership
Qualifications
- 2+ years of multi-unit retail management experience (wireless preferred)
- Strong sales coaching and performance management background
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and hold teams accountable
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable traveling frequently and working flexible hours
- Proficient with sales reports, KPIs, and basic retail systems
Preferred Experience
- Wireless or telecom retail (Total Wireless, TracFone, Verizon, prepaid)
- Experience running performance calls and whiteboard reviews
- Multi-store staffing and scheduling experience
