The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the CEO, we are seeking a senior marketing leader with a rare blend of strategic vision and executional drive to accelerate Vest's brand evolution and scale our marketing impact to match our market position. Leveraging Vest's established brand foundation and thought leadership platform, you will lead brand narrative, campaigns, and content across podcasts, short-form video, and social media, turning Vest's expertise into an unavoidable cultural and market presence. This role spans the full scope of marketing, from product launches to brand strategy, with the opportunity to build and lead a growing team.

What You'll Do

Brand & Narrative Strategy

Evolve and amplify the Vest brand architecture, voice, visual identity, and positioning to drive expanded market reach and relevance
Frame Vest as the firm that brings precision, clarity, and access to modern portfolios, not just another asset manager
Lead the creation of distinctive brand assets and storytelling frameworks that elevate Vest beyond product-level marketing
Develop a clear point of view for Vest that differentiates us from traditional asset managers and resonates with advisors navigating uncertainty
Scale brand reach through strategic distribution, turning Vest's established foundation into omnipresent category leadership through content syndication, viral-ready campaigns, and systematic channel expansion

Thought Leadership & Content Engine

Systematize existing thought leadership into high-velocity content production that drives consistent multi-channel engagement
Build a content engine using modern channels, including podcasts, LinkedIn/YouTube shorts, live panels, and newsletters, minimizing reliance on legacy PR retainers and bloated creative agencies, favoring agile creator and targeted distribution
Develop an engagement and distribution strategy that leverages data, storytelling, and platform-native formats to grow Vest's audience organically and authentically
Establish efficient content production models (editorial calendars, contributor workflows, idea pipelines) that keep Vest top of mind
Create a founder-forward narrative that leverages the CEO's and leadership team's expertise as a competitive advantage

Campaign & Growth Execution

Lead integrated campaigns across digital, social, events, and linear engagement with a startup mindset: test quickly, iterate fast, measure rigorously
Collaborate with product, distribution, and sales teams to align brand efforts with business growth goals and partner positioning
Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to find creative solutions for building the brand while complying with federal securities laws, demonstrating an ability to push boundaries within regulatory constraints
Own metrics around brand awareness, thought leadership reach, advisor and partner engagement, and inbound interest, with rigorous performance tracking and data-driven optimization

Team & Culture Leadership

Lead and scale a high-performing marketing organization, with the opportunity to build out the function as Vest's growth demands
Partner seamlessly with the existing marketing team, integrating brand-level storytelling with established product marketing and educational content engines
Foster a culture of creativity, experimentation, and first-principles thinking, favoring original insight and modern media execution
Hire external talent and freelancers as needed, building a lightweight ecosystem of creators instead of traditional agency overhead
Partner directly with the CEO to translate Vest's technical innovation and derivative expertise into accessible, compelling market narratives that drive business impact

What You Bring

10+ years of marketing and brand experience with proven success, ideally in financial services, fintech, or high-growth companies, specifically in challenger brand or category-defining environments
A demonstrated track record of scaling brand visibility from strong foundation to market leadership, especially through thought leadership, content, and new media rather than only traditional marketing vehicles
Proven ability to achieve massive organic reach and brand awareness through smart distribution, content strategy, and growth marketing, not just paid media budgets
Exceptional story-crafting and writing ability: you can take complex, technical, derivative-driven business content and turn it into accessible, inspiring ideas
Deep familiarity with modern media formats (podcasts, social short-form video, newsletters) and digital engagement strategies
Hands-on experience executing in these channels and understanding what drives audience and industry engagement
A collaborative, agile mindset, comfortable building and accelerating the playbook rather than following one
Strong leadership and team-building skills with a bias for execution and results

Vest becomes the definitive reference point of derivative-based investing: the brand advisors cite, talent is drawn to, competitors study, and industry media position as category authority

Business Impact

The marketing function drives measurable inbound interest, partner engagement, and advisor interactions, not just "nice assets" but business impact
Marketing generates qualified inbound partnership inquiries with clear attribution to brand efforts
