Sports Photographer/Videographer - Campus Recreation Job Classification: Marketing and Communications, Student Department: Campus Recreation Hiring Manager: Alaejah Norris Contact: [email protected] Work Schedule: Minimum 15hrs per week including some weekends Desired Length of Employment: Fall/Ongoing Pay Rate: $10 Job Description Focus: Capture dynamic, high-quality photos and videos to tell the story of Campus Rec programs and events. Ideal for: Film & media students, visual storytellers, aspiring sports photographers/videographers, portfolio builders. Key Responsibilities: Attend assigned Campus Rec events and capture both photo and video content (e.g., intramurals, club sports, fitness events). Compose and deliver shots that reflect the energy and community of each event not just who won the game. Follow creative direction and shot lists provided by the Communications Manager, while bringing your own creativity to the table. Edit photos Experience with photo/video editing software. Organize content weekly in shared folders, with clear file names and usage notes. Stay up to date on trends in visual content (e.g. Reels, sports photography, behind-the-scenes clips). Bonus if you: Are comfortable with light editing (in Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar). Can work some evenings when events are happening.
